What is my role as a Summer III participant at Mayo Clinic?
- Summer III participants have the opportunity to expand their nursing skills and critical thinking while working alongside an RN clinical coach.
- Please note that due to Minnesota State Nurse Practice Act Regulations, you will not be permitted to administer medications or IV therapy during the Summer III employment.
What will I be expected to wear for the program?
- Uniforms at Mayo Clinic serve as a means of identification.
- Uniforms should be clean, neat, modest, and well-fitting to create a professional impression of the employee and the hospital.
- All white tennis shoes, without colored trim, are acceptable; sandals are not permitted.
- White hose or socks are required.
- If you are assigned to a patient care unit in which there is an alternate dress code, you will receive information along with your placement information by late March.
Where and what shift will I be working?
If you are selected to participate in the program, specific information regarding your placement will be sent to you in late March.
When will I hear if I've been accepted into the program?
You will receive a letter in late February.
