At Mayo Clinic in Arizona, patients who want to stop smoking or chewing tobacco are seen in the Nicotine Dependence program in Pulmonary Medicine. Respiratory therapists in Pulmonary Medicine provide counseling on a one-time or continuing basis. The staff will coordinate with other clinicians as needed to provide the best treatment options for each patient.
Smokers interested in more intensive treatment can be referred to the residential program in Rochester.
