Research

The Nicotine Dependence Center in Rochester conducts extensive research to refine and improve treatment approaches and success rates. Areas of investigation include:

  • The effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Effective dose levels for nicotine replacement medications
  • Use of new medication agents for relief of withdrawal symptoms and treatment
  • Outcome of cessation programs for special populations of patients
