What happens?

Why talk with us?
Most people benefit from a personalized discussion of reasons for smoking, best methods for stopping and changes in health due to smoking.
What happens?
Many patients are counseled individually for one or more sessions following their initial one-on-one consultation. These counseling sessions benefit people who have set a stop date within a month, helping them to cope with the behavioral and lifestyle changes underway.
Who should do this?
Those patients who live locally or who are staying in town for medical appointments. These counseling sessions may be short or long and the number varies from patient to patient. Sessions can be scheduled Monday - Friday, between 8 and 5. Appointments can be made earlier or later if necessary.
Why do this?
A patient's words best explain this service: "Thanks to everyone's assistance, I have been able to stay away from nicotine. All of the counselors were extremely helpful and supportive. Without the program, I probably would not have been successful in quitting. Thanks for your help!"
