Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Research

Mayo Clinic researchers have published numerous studies documenting the results of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), including Gamma Knife and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). Areas of research at Mayo Clinic include:

  • Contributions to the treatment of acoustic schwannomas, trigeminal neuralgia, AVMs, pituitary tumors, meningiomas and brain metastases
  • Upgrading equipment to provide the latest technology
  • Collecting patient outcomes prospectively to document the safety and efficacy of SRS and SBRT
