The multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Center offers the following services:

• Comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sports and activity-related injuries
• Performance training programs to improve sports performance and optimize fitness and health
• Nutrition analysis and counseling
• Assistance in dealing with the emotional aspects of injury and the psychological aspects of performance enhancement
• Access to some of the finest rehabilitation and exercise equipment and personnel available today
• Collaboration on research protocols to enhance the care and performance of the athlete
• Educational programs for health care providers, coaches, and athletes locally, nationally and internationally
• Contract services provided by Mayo's registered athletic trainers for middle school, high school, and professional athletes and teams
• Referral, when necessary, to the Sports Cardiology Clinic for evaluation and treatment of patients with cardiac symptoms
