The multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Center offers the following services:
- Comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sports and activity-related injuries
- Performance training programs to improve sports performance and optimize fitness and health
- Nutrition analysis and counseling
- Assistance in dealing with the emotional aspects of injury and the psychological aspects of performance enhancement
- Access to some of the finest rehabilitation and exercise equipment and personnel available today
- Collaboration on research protocols to enhance the care and performance of the athlete
- Educational programs for health care providers, coaches, and athletes locally, nationally and internationally
- Contract services provided by Mayo's registered athletic trainers for middle school, high school, and professional athletes and teams
- Referral, when necessary, to the Sports Cardiology Clinic for evaluation and treatment of patients with cardiac symptoms
