Information to have available when you call

• Primary medical problem. Your primary medical problem is the one that's most urgent. It's the major reason for the current appointment. If only one problem can be handled during this visit to Mayo Clinic, the primary problem is the one you hope to have settled.
• Other medical conditions. Be prepared to list any other medical problems that you have had.
• Prior medical evaluations. You may be asked about recent examinations or tests. The information helps decide on the best type of appointment for your situation.
