Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Research

Mayo Clinic is heavily involved in research to better understand obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and to improve treatment capabilities. Some areas of particular interest include:

  • Effects of OSA on the cardiovascular system
  • Improving adherence to CPAP therapy
  • New positive airway pressure technologies
  • Palatal restoration (known commercially as the Pillar Procedure)
