Robot-Assisted Surgery

Treatment in Arizona

At Mayo Clinic in Arizona, surgeons in Gynecologic Surgery are world leaders in the use of robot-assisted surgery to treat benign and malignant conditions of the female pelvis. They have the largest reported volume of robot-assisted gynecologic procedures in the world, with more than 1,000 procedures performed on more than 500 patients, including the largest reported experience with robotic hysterectomy.

Specialists in Urology also use the robotic system for a variety of complex, minimally invasive laparoscopic operations in the lower and upper urinary tract such as laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
