Robot-Assisted Surgery

Treatment in Florida

At Mayo Clinic in Florida, the robotic system is used to assist with a variety of complex, minimally invasive procedures in the lower and upper urinary tract. Specialists in Urology are using the robot to perform a retropubic prostatectomy to treat prostate cancer. Urogynecologists in Gynecology are doing myomectomies (removing noncancerous fibroid tumors from the uterus), as well as prolapse and incontinence procedures, with robotic assistance.
