Rhabdomyosarcoma

Treatment of Children

Mayo Pediatric specialists use a multidisciplinary approach to treat rhabdomyosarcoma. Mayo Clinic researchers' expertise is recognized around the world. Mayo doctors lead or coordinate national studies in the treatment of rhabdomyosarcoma. Children receive inpatient care at Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital in Minnesota, a state-of-the-art, family-friendly facility within Saint Marys Hospital.

In Florida, pediatric oncologists from Nemours Children's Clinic and surgeons from Mayo Clinic work as a team to provide the care that's best for the child.

In general, treatment options for rhabdomyosarcoma in children are the same as for adults. Patients can participate in clinical trials and receive that latest treatment advances. Specialists spend time with each family answering questions and developing individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs.
