Radiology in Arizona

Gastrointestinal Radiology

This section performs fluoroscopic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine. Video swallowing exams are performed in conjunction with (and ordered through) the Speech Pathology Section. Special fluoroscopy studies, including defecating proctograms, hysterosalpingograms and vaginograms are also performed in this department.

In conjunction with the Body CT section, we perform and interpret CT colonography exams, using multidetector CT scanners and 3D image processing to create "fly through" images looking for colon cancers and polyps from within the colon.
