The staff in the Division of Thoracic Diseases & Critical Care welcomes physician referrals for the following comprehensive range of evaluation and treatment services:

  • Asthma
  • Asthmatic bronchitis
  • Bronchiolar disorders, e.g., BOOP
  • Cardiopulmonary exercise testing
  • Comprehensive evaluation of respiratory symptoms, chest X-ray abnormality
  • Detailed pulmonary function testing, oximetry
  • Diagnostic bronchoscopy including lung biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage
  • Endoscopic brachytherapy
  • Hypersensitivity lung disease
  • Infectious lung disease
  • Interstitial lung disease/pulmonary fibrosis
  • Interstitial lung diseases, including sarcoidosis
  • Mechanical ventilation and home oxygen therapy
  • Obstructive lung disease evaluation and treatment (chronic bronchitis and emphysema)
  • Occupational lung diseases
  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • Sleep disorders assessment, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy and insomnia
  • Suspected or proven lung cancer
  • Tuberculosis including atypical mycobacteria
