Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester

The Critical Care Medicine Section participates in the multidisciplinary critical care service with representation from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Surgery, Neurology, and Pediatrics.

Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Division members assume a primary role in the care of patients in the medical intensive care unit at Saint Marys Hospital and in the multidisciplinary intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital. Consultative care is provided for patients in the coronary care unit requiring mechanical ventilation and for other hospitalized patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure.
