Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

Diagnosis

Symptoms vary from person to person and can easily be misdiagnosed as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease or other neurodegenerative disorders.

No test can diagnose progressive supranuclear palsy. A neurologist can make the diagnosis based on signs and symptoms, a neurological examination and by ruling out other causes.

Mayo Clinic has the experience and tools to help make an accurate diagnosis.
