A typical day for Spinal Cord Rehabilitation

Patient education, respiratory cares, tracheotomy care, surgical incision care and medication administration are incorporated into the day. Throughout the rehab stay, times are also arranged for meeting with both the social worker and psychologist. Daily schedules vary to meet the individual needs of each patient. Your schedule will be individualized to meet your specific rehabilitation needs.

7:30 a.m. Morning hygiene activities
  Skin inspection and care
8:00 a.m. Breakfast
8:30 a.m. Dressing with assistance of Occupational Therapy
9:00 a.m. Activities to improve mobility and function with Occupational Therapy
10:00 a.m. Activities to improve mobility and function with Physical Therapy
  Transfer techniques
11:00 a.m. Bladder care
12:00 p.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. Rest
  Skin inspection
2:00 p.m. Lower extremity therapy with Physical Therapy
3:00 p.m. Free time
4:00 p.m. Upper extremity therapy with Occupational Therapy
5:00 p.m. Bladder care
6:00 p.m. Dinner
7:00 p.m. Free time/ Social Activities with Recreational Therapy
8:30 p.m. Bowel care
9:00 p.m. Bath/Shower
9:30 p.m. Skin Inspection and care
10:00 p.m. To bed
