The vast majority of these patients are cared for by the more than 150 physicians in the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Children who need inpatient care are admitted to Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital, an 85-bed facility specially designed to meet the needs of children and their parents. Mayo Clinic facilities in Jacksonville, Fla., and Scottsdale, Ariz., do not have formal pediatric practices, although some children and adolescents are treated within their Family Medicine departments. Some specialists also treat children and adolescents in their individual practices. Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville has a relationship with Nemours Children's Hospital in Jacksonville and Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale has a relationship with Phoenix Children's Hospital.
