Pediatric Bladder and Genitalia Concerns at Mayo Clinic

Urologic disorders in infants and children range from common problems, such as day or nighttime wetting, to relatively rare forms of cancer and physical abnormalities. Diagnosis and treatment of all urologic disorders in children require special attention to the needs of children and their families.

The Urology Department at Mayo Clinic Rochester has a team of physicians and staff who specialize in pediatric urology, including full-time pediatric urologists, a pediatric urology nurse, pediatric urology technicians and pediatric uroradiologists who perform important diagnostic tests.

At Mayo Clinic, there are no time constraints on appointments with pediatric urologists. Children and families can spend as much time as necessary discussing urologic problems with Mayo doctors. In most cases, parents can get an appointment for their child within a week to perform any necessary tests. Surgery is available on a next-day basis, when the child's condition is urgent.

The pediatric urology team at Mayo specializes in diagnosing and treating the entire spectrum of pediatric urology disorders.
