Pediatric Immunodeficiency Center

The multidisciplinary Pediatric Immunodeficiency Center at Mayo Clinic Rochester is staffed by pediatricians from several divisions within the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. These include:

Working together, these physicians provide comprehensive care for children with immune system disorders. They also evaluate children with suspected immune system problems, such as children with a history of frequent, severe, or unusual infections.

The physicians staffing the Pediatric Immunodeficiency Center work closely with the members of the Department of Laboratory Medicine who direct the integrated Clinical Immunology Laboratories. Our newest addition, the Cellular and Molecular Immunology Laboratory, provides state-of-the-art testing for a large number of immune disorders.

Some of the conditions treated by physicians in the Pediatric Immunodeficiency Center are:

  • X-linked agammaglobulinemia;
  • severe combined immunodeficiency;
  • common variable immunodeficiency;
  • chronic granulomatous disease;
  • DiGeorge syndrome;
  • hyper IgE syndrome; and
  • autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome.
