Pediatric Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology evaluates and treats children who have glandular problems and/or inborn errors of metabolism. These diagnoses include thyroid disease (high and low thyroid), adrenal problems, early and late puberty, tall and short stature, failure to gain adequate weight, obesity, pituitary problems, low blood sugar, early and late puberty, and diabetes.

The division is certified as a Center of Excellence by the American Diabetes Association, and uses a team approach to diabetes management, including the expertise of physicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and psychologists.
