Dementia Support

Dementia Support is a 45-minute class offered in the Patient Education Center. After completing this class, you should be able to:

• Define dementia and the types of dementia
• Understand how brain changes caused by dementia lead to behavior changes
• State strategies for coping with communication challenges and behavior changes due to dementia
• Connect to other resources

This is a group class for those caring for someone with dementia. It includes instruction and discussion.

Programs are offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and can be scheduled to fit with other appointments. Register by calling 507-284-8140 or by making an appointment at the Patient Education Center reception desk.
