Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders Center in Arizona

Overview

Approximately six million people in the U.S. suffer from Parkinson's disease or other types of movement disorders.

The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, an integral part of the Mayo Clinic's Department of Neurology in Arizona, is committed to compassionate care and treatment of persons affected by Parkinson's Disease, tremor, dystonia, Huntington's disease, and other movement disorders. The center is dedicated to improving the quality of life of patients affected by these diseases and has an experienced staff of neurologists, a nurse practitioner and nurses who have been trained specifically to diagnose and treat these disorders.

The team utilizes specialized treatments including oral medications, botulinum toxin (Botox®) and deep brain stimulation surgery. There are also multiple ongoing research studies for these disorders. The goal of the team is to provide excellent care with compassion and dedication to each individual patient.
