Ophthalmology in Arizona

Overview

The Department of Ophthalmology treats disorders of the eyes with a commitment to the preservation of vision and prevention of blindness through patient care, education and research.

Advanced diagnostic procedures and medical, laser and surgical therapies are available for a wide range of eye disorders. Staff includes fellowship-trained specialists in glaucoma, medical retina and lasers, and vitreo-retinal surgery. We offer both corneal and refractive surgery. Pediatric services are not available.

The Department provides generalized care for adult patients including comprehensive eye exams, refractions for eyeglasses, and contact lens fitting and supply.

Optometrists are available to see patients at the following locations:

  • Mayo Clinic Building (Scottsdale campus)
  • Mayo Clinic Family Medicine – Thunderbird (Scottsdale)
  • Mayo Clinic Family Medicine – Arrowhead (Glendale)
