  Direct line to Ophthalmology appointment secretaries who will connect the referring physician with the ophthalmologist on-call to arrange hospital transfer.
  
  
• Mayo Clinic Operator

  During working hours, the operator can contact the ophthalmologist on-call or any other specialty that the referring physician needs. In emergency situations during off-hours, the clinic operator will assist in dealing with the situation.
  
  

Urgent/Emergency Transfers

  24 hours per day, 7 days per week
  Direct line to Mayo Emergency Communications Center that can connect the referring physician to a Mayo Emergency/Trauma Unit staff physician and can dispatch Gold Cross (ground ambulance), Mayo One (helicopter ambulance) or Mayo Air (fixed wing air ambulance).
