Program Suspension: Nurse Camp and Nurse Camp for Adults
Mayo Clinic Arizona has offered the Nurse Camp program (Nurse Camp and Nurse Camp for Adults) annually since 2003. It is a program in which we have great pride, and we understand the great impact it has on its participants in learning more about nursing as a career option. In 2009 and 2010, Mayo Clinic will be changing out its complex electronic medical record system and updating other systems. Because of this, all education resources must be directed toward this critical need and we must suspend the Nurse Camp programs for the 2009 and 2010 calendar years.
Mayo Clinic's core value is to put the needs of our patients first. The transition to a new electronic medical record is one of the key elements in providing, communicating and documenting patient care.
When the programs resume in 2011, we invite you to review our Web site at that time. The Nurse Camp Web site will be updated with the 2011 program information and application process by February 2011 for the Nurse Camp program and by July 2011 for the Nurse Camp for Adults program.
