Nurse Camp at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is a weeklong program that gives high school students a chance to learn what nursing is all about. The 2012 program is scheduled for July 9-13, 2012.
Students can expect to shadow registered nurses in patient care areas, attend interactive talks, and enjoy games and adventures. Program participants also take part in hands-on simulations in both the emergency department and surgical areas.
There is no cost to attend Nurse Camp, though enrollment is limited and students must commit to attend all five days.
