Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Research

Mayo Clinic focuses on identifying new methods of prevention, detection and treatment of lymphoma. Mayo's research on non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is supported by the National Cancer Institute through a lymphoma Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) grant and an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group grant.

The Mayo Clinic lymphoma database uses samples from thousands of different types of tissues from people with NHL for research. Current research areas include:

  • Causes
  • Genetics
  • Novel therapies
  • Treatments to prevent tumor growth
  • New methods of stem cell harvest to boost immune recovery after a stem cell transplant
