ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic will host His Holiness the Dalai Lama for a special presentation on Tuesday, April 24.
WHO: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, John Noseworthy, M.D., president and CEO, Mayo Clinic, Amit Sood, M.D., Mayo Clinic, Daniel Goleman, Ph.D., Mind & Life Institute, Carla Paonessa, Mayo Clinic Leadership Board, Mayo Clinic Arizona, Sherry Chesak
WHAT: His Holiness the Dalai Lama will join a panel for a special presentation when he visits Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The panel will discuss the topic of resilience through mindfulness.
Dr. Noseworthy and Dr. Sood, chair of the Mayo Mind Body Medicine Initiative, will host the event. The Mayo Mind Body Medicine team has developed innovative practice models including meditation, and stress management and resiliency training programs, and integrated them into clinical practice at Mayo Clinic.
WHERE: Saint Marys Hospital Chapel, Mayo Clinic, 1216 Second St. SW.
Reporters should arrive at Saint Marys Hospital main entrance ("Rainbow Atrium" on the west side of the hospital) where they will be escorted by Mayo Clinic Public Affairs staff.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 24, 10 a.m.
Reporters will be escorted to Saint Marys Chapel at 9 a.m.
All event attendees, including media, must be in Saint Marys Chapel no later than 9:30 a.m.
