WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremony for a new radiation oncology treatment center. The new facility will be built in Northfield.
WHO: Mayo Clinic Radiation Oncology staff as well as Northfield Hospital and city leaders.
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: South side of 330th Street, east of Northfield Hospital, 2000 North Avenue
NOTE: The facility will meet the requirements of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program, meaning it will be built with energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity in mind. When complete, the facility will employ approximately 12 people with high-quality jobs.
