Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center Announces Schedule for Pre-Participation Physicals

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center today announced the sports physicals schedule for high school athletes wishing to participate in athletic programs. The physicals will be performed on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center, Charlton Building, Desk LC. The cost of the exam is $20 per student. Designated times for the exams are as follows:

Rochester Schools:

• 8-8:45 a.m.: Lourdes, Schaeffer Academy
• 8:45-9:30 a.m.: John Marshall
• 9:30-10:15 a.m.: Century
• 10:15-11 a.m.: Mayo

Outreach Schools:

• 8-9 a.m.: Byron, Chatfield, Dover-Eyota, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Stewartville
• 9-10 a.m.: Grand Meadow, Hayfield, Kasson-Mantorville, Lanesboro, Lewiston-Altura, Pine Island, St. Charles
• 10-11 a.m.: Fillmore Central, Goodhue, Kenyon-Wanamingo, Kingsland, LeRoy-Ostrander, Triton, Zumbrota-Mazeppa

Forms for the physicals are available in the high school athletic offices and/or on the school Web sites. Please complete these forms prior to April 24 and bring them to the exam. If an athlete wears glasses or contact lenses, please bring them. If the athlete has a known medical condition, it is recommended that the individual be seen by his/her family care physician.
