813 West Highway St.
Dodge Center, Minn.

WHEN: Wednesday, March 3, 1:30 p.m.

WHAT: Mayo Clinic, HealthForce Minnesota, Southeast Service Cooperative, and the Rochester Area Math and Science Partnership are collaborating to bring a Mobile Science Laboratory to area schools. Funding for the lab is provided by Mayo Clinic and HealthForce Minnesota. Teachers train at Mayo Clinic for one week to learn how to use the lab with students. Then teachers reserve time for the lab to come to their school for a week.

Swanson will use the Mobile Science Lab with her students. Swanson, her students, and Finne will be available for comment.

Currently, there is one Mobile Science Lab, but in response to significant demand funding has recently been made available for a second lab for the 2010-2011 school year.
