SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Mayo Clinic has been named a 2009 Best Places to Work company by the Phoenix Business Journal and BestCompaniesAZ, co-founders of the list that has recognized Valley companies since 2003 based on employee satisfaction.
Mayo Clinic ranked number two among the Extra-Large (3,000 or more employees) companies in the Valley. A third-party-administered survey was sent to participating companies that queried employees about aspects of employee life such as workplace environment, leadership direction, culture and management practices.
Mayo was acknowledged for creating an enjoyable corporate culture and work environment that fosters personal and professional growth and well as for its wellness programs.
Winners were announced at the Best Places to Work luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix on Thursday, Dec. 10. More than 900 people attended the event to recognize the 124 companies named among the Best Places to Work.
