Mayo Announces Seasonal, H1N1 Vaccine Information

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic has both seasonal and H1N1 influenza vaccine available. Seasonal vaccine is available by appointment or walk-in clinic. Mayo patients should call their primary care provider to schedule a seasonal influenza vaccine, or patients 16 and older may use the walk-in clinic in Mayo's Gonda Building, 16th floor, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays through Friday, Dec. 18. The H1N1 appointment line will stay open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. until all appointment slots are filled. Mayo Clinic patients can call 507-266-0011 to schedule an appointment. Based on Minnesota Department of Health priorities, eligible patients must have a Mayo Clinic patient number and meet one of the criteria below:

• Pregnant women
• Children 6 months old through 24 years old
• Adults 25 to 64 years old with underlying medical conditions
• Adults who are primary caregivers for children under 6 months old
• All health care workers
• Children age 9 and under who received their first H1N1 dose three or more weeks ago. Children 9 and under need two doses of H1N1 vaccine. The doses must be at least 21 days apart.
