Area Health Care Providers Expand Criteria for H1N1 Vaccine

Today, Olmsted County Public Health, Olmsted Medical Center and Mayo Clinic announce expanded criteria for H1N1 vaccinations. Based on Minnesota Department of Health priorities, the following groups are eligible to receive H1N1 vaccinations at Olmsted County Public Health, Olmsted Medical Center and Mayo Clinic:

  • Children and adults 6 months old through 24 years old
  • Adults 25 to 64 years old with chronic medical conditions
  • Pregnant women
  • Adults who are primary care givers for children under 6 months old
  • All health care workers and Emergency Medical Services personnel

H1N1 Vaccinations by Appointment
Olmsted Medical Center — 507-288-3443
Appointment lines open Monday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 a.m.
Note: Vaccine recipients must be Olmsted Medical Center patients.

Olmsted County Public Health — 507-328-H1N1 (4161)
Appointment lines open Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m.
Note: Will accept all persons within priority groups.

Mayo Clinic — 507-266-0011
Appointment lines open Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 8 a.m.
Note: Patients must be Minnesota residents and have a Mayo Clinic patient number.

Additional Vaccination Clinics
As vaccine supplies are received, providers will open their appointment lines. Please check phone lines for vaccine availability, or visit your providers' Web site. Minnesota will continue to receive supplies of H1N1 vaccine through the next several months until there is enough vaccine to provide vaccinations for everyone who wants to be vaccinated.
