Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center Hosts "National Health Care Reform: Implications for Minnesota"

This policy briefing will provide an update on the current state of the national health care reform debate and the implications for health care in Minnesota. The briefing will also foster a discussion among state leaders about how leaders in Minnesota can work together to ensure that health care in Minnesota continues to thrive, innovate, and lead as national efforts move forward.

Participating in the event will be United States Senator Amy Klobuchar (via video); Lawrence Massa, President, Minnesota Hospital Association; Noel Peterson, M.D., President, Minnesota Medical Association; Mary Brainerd, President and CEO of HealthPartners, representing the Minnesota Council of Health Plans; Representative Tom Huntley, Chair, Minnesota House Health Finance Committee; as well as state leaders in health care who have participated with the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center.

Cosponsors for this event are the Minnesota Business Partnership, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Council of Health Plans, the Minnesota Hospital Association and the Minnesota Medical Association.
