Mayo Clinic Store to Celebrate Anniversary and Unveil Renovated Space

Grand Re-Opening Celebration set for Sept. 10

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Mayo Clinic Store will host a Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event not only celebrates the medical supply store's 20 years of service to Mayo Clinic patients, but also the completion of a major renovation of the store, which nearly doubled the size of the retail space.

The renovation provided an opportunity to expand existing product inventory and add new product categories, a larger display area and more space for patient consultations and checkouts.

Located in the subway level of the Siebens Building, the Mayo Clinic Store annually serves over 75,000 patients from throughout the United States and the world. Since 1989, the Mayo Clinic Store has provided continued support for patients as they leave Mayo Clinic, with over 3,000 products stocked in the store plus the availability to order thousands more. The Mayo Clinic Store also operates a Sleep Apnea Store on Gonda 17, a Post Mastectomy/Compression Products Store in the subway of the Marriott Hotel and a convenient mail order service that can ship products worldwide.

The Grand Re-Opening Celebration will include refreshments, and vendors will be available to answer product questions.
