WHO: Michael Stuart M.D., and Edward Laskowski M.D. (co-directors of Sports Medicine Center) and Jay Smith, M.D., course director for the 18th Annual Mayo Clinic Symposium on Sports Medicine. Special guest speakers include Chris Sheppard, a ten-time Canadian National Team mountain bike racer and Kurt Spindler, M.D., director of the Vanderbilt University Sports Medicine Center and team physician for Vanderbilt University Football Team.

WHAT: This two-day course is designed to provide the latest diagnostic treatment strategies for patients with sports and musculoskeletal injuries. In addition to guest speakers, Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center staff will discuss a variety of topics including eye injuries, sudden cardiac death,
knee trauma on the field, and doping in sports.
