WHAT: Allen will be available to media regarding his panel discussion on "Child Victims: Missing, Abducted & Exploited — From a Community Perspective." Members of the community, including representatives of the Rochester Police Department, Rochester Public Schools and Olmsted County Social Services will participate on the panel.

NOTE: Allen is a co-founder of the National Center, which opened in 1984, and has served as president and CEO since 1989. Under his leadership, more than 121,500 children have been recovered, and the organization has increased its recovery rate from 62 percent in 1990 to 96 percent today. Allen has brought technology and innovation to the center, including age progression and forensic imaging of long-term missing children, a 24-hour missing children hotline and training for more than 235,000 law enforcement officers. Daniel Broughton, M.D., Mayo Clinic pediatrician, also is a co-founder of the National Center and chaired its board of directors for 13 years.
