WHAT: The Sapphire Trio, a chamber ensemble consisting of clarinet, violin and piano, will perform an original composition by Charles Nichols, titled "Medical Records (From a Physician's Career)." The Sapphire Trio consists of University of Montana music faculty members: violinist Margaret Baldridge; clarinetist Maxine Ramey; and pianist Judy Graves, who is also a music professor at Eastern Washington University.
The piece was commissioned by the AAMC and the Institute of Medicine and Humanities. Charles Nichols is Associate Professor of Composition and Music at the University of Montana. The trio premiered this piece at the November 2006 Annual Meeting of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).

WHERE: Phillips Hall, Siebens Building, 100 Second Ave. S.W.
WHO: The performance is free and open to Mayo staff, residents, students, patients and visitors, and the community. This event is co-sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Program for Professionalism and Bioethics and the Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine.
