"President Gerald R. Ford was discharged from Mayo Clinic earlier today and has returned with Mrs. Ford to their home in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
"President and Mrs. Ford and their family are grateful to the outstanding group of physicians, nurses and other medical personnel at Mayo Clinic, especially Dr. Fletcher (Buzz) Miller, for the dedication and wonderful care they provided to President and Mrs. Ford these past two weeks.
"The Fords also wish to thank the American people for their prayers and countless messages of good wishes."
