What: Opportunity to watch and interview Pat Mitchell, who will deliver the 2005 Ozmun Lecture in Management, "Old Values, New Vision: Leading When the Future Just Happened," sponsored by the Donald C. Ozmun and Donald B. Ozmun Family.
When: Thursday, July 14, 2005, 3-4:30 p.m. CDT. Reporters are invited to watch the broadcast of the lecture. Pat Mitchell will be available by phone for questions after the lecture.

Where: Judd Auditorium, subway level, Mayo Clinic Building The lecture will be telecast live from Mayo Clinic Arizona.
Why: This lectureship brings prominent academic and business leaders to Mayo Clinic to discuss management issues of interest to administrators and other Mayo Clinic leaders. The lecture was established to honor John Herrell, Mayo Clinic's chief administrative officer from 1993-2001, and his grandfather, Harry Harwick, Mayo Clinic's first administrative officer.
Pat Mitchell, a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees, was named president and chief executive officer of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in March 2000. Mitchell brings to the post a broad and distinguished background as a journalist, network correspondent, award-winning producer, television executive and college-level educator. She is the first producer and first woman to lead the $2 billion public service broadcasting enterprise.
She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the U.S. Afghan Women's Council, and serves as a director of Knight Ridder, Inc., and Bank of America. She is on the boards of United Way America, the Sundance Institute, is a founding member of Mikhail Gorbachev's global environmental organization and an adviser to the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She speaks extensively on the role of the media in society, including testimony to both the U.S. Congress and the British House of Lords.
