Mayo Clinic Rochester to Announce Significant Contribution to Pediatric Medicine

WHAT: Mayo Clinic will announce a gift from South Dakota businessman T. Denny Sanford that will support construction of a pediatric outpatient center on the 16th floor of the Mayo Building in downtown Rochester. Construction of the center will begin in 2006 with occupancy scheduled for early 2007.

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 14 reception and gift announcement from 11 a.m. to Noon Interviews with Mayo leaders and Mr. Sanford from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.

WHERE: The event will be held on the 16th floor of the Mayo Building, 200 Second Street S.W., Rochester, Minn. News media meet at the Information Desk on the main floor of the Gonda Building beginning at 10:30 to be escorted to the event.
