Flu Vaccinations Continue at Mayo Clinic

Monday, October 17, 2005

ROCHESTER, Minn. — This year Mayo Clinic has an adequate supply of flu vaccine and encourages patients to receive a flu shot.

Since Oct. 12, Mayo Clinic has been offering flu vaccinations at primary care locations. Initially, the immunizations have been directed toward high-risk populations. Starting Oct. 24, anyone will be able to receive a flu shot.

To receive your flu shot, call your primary care provider. Mayo Clinic will also offer a flu shot clinic, starting Oct. 24. This flu shot clinic will be open for two weeks in the Gonda Building. It will offer convenient access for patients 18 and older who don't have a primary care provider. An appointment will be necessary to receive flu vaccination at this clinic. Appointments can be scheduled starting Oct. 19 by calling 507-538-0660.

For more information throughout the flu season, call the Mayo Clinic influenza hotline at 507-284-9353.
