ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health Information won five major honors in the 2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards from eHeathcare Strategy and Trends, a marketing and business development Internet publication for health care executives.
Mayo Clinic Web sites honored include the Mayo Clinic e-Health Package suite of online tools for organizations and the MayoClinic.com public site. The sites were awarded "Best Design — Consumer General Health Site," gold award; "Best Interactive Site — Business Process Improvement Applications or Products," platinum award; "Best Health Content Site — Consumer General Health Site," platinum award; "Best Health Content Site — Business/Process Improvement Site," platinum award; and "Best Overall Internet Site — Consumer General Health Site," platinum award.
The 2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards were chosen from 1,202 entries from online health companies, business improvement/vendor sites, large and small health care organizations, and pharmaceutical companies, according to eHealthcare Strategy and Trends.
