Mayo Clinic Announces Annual Contribution to Ronald McDonald House, Gift of Life Transplant House and Hope Lodge

Who: David Herman, M.D., Chair, Clinical Practice Committee; Hugh Smith, M.D., Chair, Mayo Clinic Board of Governors; Jeff Korsmo, Administrator, Mayo Clinic in Rochester; Karel Weigel, Administrator, Community Relations.

What: Mayo Clinic announces plans to make a contribution to the operating fund of each of three Rochester organizations that provide a home away from home for Mayo Clinic patients and their caregivers.

The recipients are Ronald McDonald House, Gift of Life Transplant House and the American Cancer SocietyÕs Hope Lodge. Each offers a homelike setting where patients and caregivers may stay a few days, a few weeks or several months, depending on the course of treatment.

When: Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at 3 p.m.

Where: Gonda Building , 4th Floor Lecture Hall 100 Third Ave., S.W., Rochester, Minn.
