ROCHESTER, Minn. — Mayo Clinic and Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) today announced an agreement enabling Humana's 6.6 million members to utilize Mayo Clinic for transplant services.
The Mayo Clinic sites included in the agreement are located in Rochester, Minn.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Scottsdale, Ariz.

"This arrangement offers patients even greater access to lifesaving transplant services at Mayo Clinic."
"The addition of Mayo Clinic to our transplant network offers our members and their physicians more choices in determining which transplant facility best fits their needs," says Bruce Perkins, Humana senior vice president of national contracting. "This agreement certainly takes our national transplant network to a new level by giving members access to health care at the appropriate time in the appropriate setting."
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Humana Inc., Health Value Management's National Transplant Network is one of the larger proprietary transplant networks in the United States. It contains 63 participating transplant facilities offering approximately 365 programs for adult and pediatric transplant patients.
