Friday, September 26, 2003

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Deborah Suppes, M.D., an obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined the staff at Cannon Valley Clinic — Northfield. Ann Friedmann, M.D., an obstetrician/gynecologist, and Natalee Johnson, a certified nurse-midwife, also care for patients at the downtown clinic, located in the Village Drug building at 710 Division Street.

"IÕm excited to be caring for patients in Northfield," says Dr. Suppes. "The people are wonderful and I love the area."

Dr. Suppes earned her medical degree at Mayo Medical School in Rochester. She completed a residency through the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Integrated Residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology and WomenÕs Health. Obstetricians/gynecologists provide broad-based care for women, including preventive healthcare, education, counseling, prenatal care, cancer screening, sexual and contraceptive guidance, routine and high-risk obstetrics, infertility, urinary incontinence and gynecological surgeries.

Dr. Suppes enjoys developing relationships with patients and has a special interest in working with teenagers. "I try to make a teenÕs first visit to the gynecologist a good experience," says Dr. Suppes. "If a teen has a positive experience, she is more likely to schedule regular exams throughout her lifetime."

Dr. Suppes sees patients at Cannon Valley Clinic — Northfield, and performs surgeries and delivers babies at District One Hospital in Faribault. She hopes to provide these services at Northfield Hospital in the near future.

Dr. Suppes and her family live in Farmington. She and her husband, George, have a son and two daughters.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Suppes, call Cannon Valley Clinic — Northfield at 507-664-2000 or toll free 888-800-6545.
