Mayo Clinic to Host Conference for Those Who Support Alzheimer's Disease Patients

What:
Mayo Clinic invites those who care for and support Alzheimer's disease patients, or who are in any way affected by the disease or a related dementia, to attend the "Ninth Annual Mayo Alzheimer's Conference for Families, Friends and Caregivers."

When:
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23

Where:
Phillips Hall, first level of the Siebens Building, 10 Second Ave. S.W., Mayo Clinic downtown campus, Rochester, Minn.

Conference Highlights:
* David Knopman, M.D., Mayo Clinic neurologist and co-clinical director of the Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, will present the latest information on genetic research, early detection and diagnosis, clinical trials and treatment. * A variety of special guests and speakers, including early-stage Alzheimer's disease patients, will share their personal experiences.
