Staff in the Division of Behavioral Neurology evaluate and treat individuals with disorders of the brain which affect memory, language, visuospatial functioning, judgement/problem solving, or personality/behavior.

The Behavioral Neurology Group is active in a variety of research areas including:

  • Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Research Center
    Mayo Clinic is one of a few large medical centers designated by the National Institutes of Health and the National Instiute on Aging as an Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. As a leader in Alzheimer's disease research, Mayo Clinic researchers have characterized the condition "mild cognitive impairment" which is often the precursor to Alzheimer's disease, and have been leaders in techniques that enable early diagnosis and management of Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
