Nephrology & Hypertension in Florida

Overview

The Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Mayo Clinic in Florida offers diagnosis and treatment of all types of kidney disease and evaluation and management of hypertension (high blood pressure). This includes acute and chronic kidney failure, kidney stones, electrolyte disturbances and renal replacement therapies such as dialysis and kidney transplantation. The integrated team of nephrology and hypertension specialists partner with referring physicians to meet the subspecialty needs of the patients they jointly serve. The division emphasizes forming strong relationships with patients and referring physicians. The mission of the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension, consistent with the three shields on the Mayo Clinic logo, is to:

  • Provide the highest quality care for patients with kidney disease and hypertension
  • Train students, residents and postdoctoral fellows
  • Conduct state-of-the-art research into the causes, prevention and treatment of kidney disease and hypertension
