For many years, Mayo Clinic physicians have been evaluating experimental therapies to find a cure for myelofibrosis. Mayo's research program includes basic scientists and clinicians who test the latest drug therapies for usefulness in treating myelofibrosis. Drugs that appear promising and safe in the laboratory can be offered to patients in clinical trials through the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center. The list of clinical trials changes constantly. Hematologists consult with each patient to determine if a clinical trial or other therapy is appropriate. At Mayo, physicians and researchers are committed to finding better treatment options for myelofibrosis patients.
